GIN GENEVER BY THE DUTCH OLD (70CL, 38.00% Vol.) Its soft, subtle and malty flavor comes from the use of a high malt content, made of rye, corn and barley malt, which is distilled 3 times in copper stills. This maltwine – the base of genever – is then infused and blended with carefully selected spirits from juniper berries and botanicals (hops, cloves, anise, licorice, ginger, citrus and many others) and brought to 38% alcohol: a percentage carefully chosen by the master distiller for the perfect balance between aroma and mouthfeel.
On the nose it has a complex, spicy and slightly malty aroma with hints of juniper, anise, citrus peel, cloves, cinnamon and orange blossom. On the palate it has a spicy flavour, accompanied by notes of juniper, anise, bitter orange, cloves, cinnamon and cumin.
