HEROIC AMARO (70cl, 28.0% Vol.)

Amaro Eroico is an elixir, handcrafted through a cold maceration process, in which berries, roots, aromatic and medicinal herbs blend with the intense and unique taste of Calabrian cedar and bergamot, PGI Sorrento lemon and blood orange of Sicily PGI.

The Essentia Mediterranea initiative began in the Middle Ages, in Altomonte, a small village in the heart of Magna Graecia, where Princess Sinchelgaita, expert herbalist and wife of Robert Guiscard, favored the settlement of some monastic orders from Sicily and from the east due to the barbarian invasions. Over the centuries, the traditional production of medicinal elixirs gave way to an industry, the Giacobini Reale liqueur factory, which became the largest and most awarded in the Bourbon kingdom.

The Essentia Mediterranea project was born in 1938 after the closure of the Giacobini company. Precisely in this year, Carlo Moliterno realized his dream by starting his own company of liqueurs and carbonated drinks based only on local products.
