Berta Distillerie Oltre Il Vallo (70CL, 43.0% Vol.)
The name Oltre il Vallo recalls how no one has ever managed to get past Hadrian's ancient fortifications, that wall which represented the northernmost border of the Roman Empire in Britain for much of the period of Roman dominion over these lands. A fortification that divided the island into two parts. No one has ever managed to go beyond this border, until today, when the Highlands and Monferrato come together symbolically in this aged distillate. The barrels, selected one by one, come from those distant lands, from the ancient and most prized Scottish distilleries: Lagavulin, Caol Ila and Mortlach, important names that have made and are making the history of the best Scottish whisky.

Complex, delicate, enveloping, with great personality. At the beginning it is an explosion of aromas ranging from notes of pomace, raisins, dried fruit and almond. In a second moment these sensations give way to a light hint of smoke, peat and malt.
