CARTRON TRÈS VIEILLE FINE BOURGOGNE A.O.C.
It was in 1882 that Joseph Cartron founded the company of the same name in Nuits-Saint-Georges, in the heart of Burgundy.
If in the first years of activity the company mainly dealt with the distribution of drinks, from the beginning it accompanied this with the production of liqueurs, among which the famous Double Crème de Cassis stands out. The turning point occurred after the Second World War, when Armand Cartron, nephew of the founder, decided to concentrate solely on the production of liqueurs and the diffusion of the brand: it was he who was responsible for many now traditional recipes, still jealously preserved in a handwritten school notebook, and he himself designed the logo with the Unicorns (an alchemical symbol, as well as a traditional one of the region).
