Castello di Spessa “SANTAROSA” PINOT BIANCO DOC COLLIO 2022
Straw yellow in color with golden notes, the nose is broad and intense with sweet tropical and floral notes. On the palate it is extremely refined, with fruity notes of white apple, pear and notes of acacia flowers. Soft and velvety, it has excellent persistence.
Ideal with light fish-based starters, delicate fish risottos and pasta dishes or vegetable soups.
Characteristics of Pinot Blanc:
Pinot Blanc seems to derive from a mutation of Pinot Grigio, which in turn is a mutation of Pinot Noir. The use of these grapes in the production of wines is rather similar to that of Chardonnay, grown in the same areas of origin. In past times, Pinot Blanc was also used in the production of Champagne, but today this use has almost completely disappeared. This noble vine finds one of its greatest expressions in the pre-mountain areas of Trentino Alto Adige, Veneto, Lombardy, and Friuli Venezia Giulia.
Ottimo vino, assaggiato in Calabria tanti anni fa' e continuato ad acquistare per il suo gusto delicato ed armonioso.. vivo in Piemonte e frequento la Calabria da 30 anni nella zona Ionica.. la cantina Iuzzolini è la mia preferita.. consiglio anche Donna Giovanna
