Vintage features
A cold and wet winter gave way to a gloomy spring, whose cool and rainy conditions delayed the vegetative cycle by about fifteen days. The summer was hot and dry, with the greatest number of hours of sunshine in the Champagne region, thus favoring a regular and progressive development of the grapes. The rains recorded at the beginning of September and the east wind helped preserve the health of the vineyard. The grapes from this late harvest were harvested from September 28th to October 15th, and reveal an ideal balance between acidity and roundness and a beautiful aromatic richness.
Tasting Notes
Smell
It is delicate on the nose and surprises with its richness and complexity. The fragrances of eucalyptus, mint and vetiver combine harmoniously with fruity notes (mirabelle plum, apricot, orange blossom), spicy notes (pepper, cardamom, liquorice stick) but also notes of iodine and toasted notes.
Taste
An unctuous and airy attack precedes an elegant, precise and silky mouth, up to a saline and persistent finish.
