Rum Caroni Trinidad Rum 21 Year Old Rare Rums - Rum Nation (0.7L, 59.2% Vol.)This 21 year old rum is a very rare, long-mature bottling from the Caroni distillery in Trinidad, which was completely closed in 2003. To develop Furthering its aroma, the rum, distilled in 1997 and bottled in 2018, is matured for 3 years in Islay whiskey barrels. Unfortunately, we weren't told which ones. Nose: Delicate floral scents, slowly powerful spices of anise, cinnamon, cloves and coffee. Taste: Dense, almost meaty body with spicy notes of pepper, cardamom, molasses, guava and green bananas , framed by fine and dry tannins. Finish: long, dense and very spicy finish.
