Suerte Cihuatan Rum is produced by Licoreria Cihuatàn, the first distillery to produce quality rum with sugar cane grown in El Salvador, where complete control of production takes place, from the plant to bottling. The company is connected to the "Ingenio La Cabaña" sugar refinery, founded over a century ago. Rum Suerte is inspired by the legend of Muwaan Mat, the Mayan deity of luck who shared the gift of good fortune through crystals. On the label the god is represented by the deer and the comet striking the earth gives rise to the crystals.

It is a blend of 17 and 15 year old rums which gives beautiful and intense notes of salted caramel, sesame seeds, candied figs, coffee, butter biscuits and cinnamon.
