The first batch of Engenho Novo da Madeira rum bottled by that Boutique-y Rum Company is here! This expression comes from a distillery in Portugal founded by a descendant of William Hinton, a well-known sugar producer in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. In fact, you can see William Hinton (and his little dog) on ​​the label, as he observes all the rum production processes. This expression is three years old, and was curiously made from an ex-Amarone wine barrel!

Tasting notes

Aroma: Mango, vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce, subtle floral notes of rose lingering in the background. Palate: Still plenty of vanilla, although there's now the richness of maple syrup in the mix. Finish: Red grapes and black tea, with a little cocoa too.
