That boutique-y rum company Foursquare Batch #3 Single Cask Beija-Flor 10 YO (70CL, 50.8% Vol.)
Foursquare's batch #3 is the result of a mix of rum distilled in pot and column still, and spent the last maturation period in an ex-Sauternes barrel. Aged 10 years, bottled at 50.8%, not cold filtered and not artificially coloured, it is a limited edition of 184 examples and was selected exclusively for Beija-Flor and the Italian market.
TASTING NOTES:
Aroma: Incredibly rich, with vanilla and fruit jam, then apple, cocoa, thick, buttery molasses. A veil of smoke.
Palate: A deep palate, with toasted tones, a memory of cigar box, pine nuts and spicy fruit. Apricot, then a hint of anise.
Straordinario rapporto qualità/prezzo per un vino fresco, fermo con profumi prevalentemente fruttati. Al palato risulta morbido, fresco abbastanza armonico. Consigliato per accompagnare nelle calde serate estive, piatti a base di verdure di stagione e piatti di pesce. Può anche essere utilizzato come aperitivo servito molto freddo.
