This “Prime Uve Nere” brandy tells an interesting story, which makes us understand how the Bonaventura Maschio distillery is always attentive to experimenting and seizing new opportunities. The “Prime Uve Nere” is in fact born from the distillation not of the pomace, but directly of the grape must, thus guaranteeing a great quality of the aromas in the bottle. This intuition was born in the early 1980s, and when, in 1984, legislation contemplated the category of grape distillates for the first time, Bonaventura Maschio was able to present itself on the market with a product that was nothing short of a winner. A label with woody and spicy aromas, in which the sip is highly satisfying: absolutely worth trying.

The “Prime Uve Nere” brandy comes from the distillation of the grape must of two red grape varieties, Refosco and Cabernet. An important peculiarity is that the Bonaventura Maschio distillery does not carry out the distillation starting from the pomace, but from the pure grape must, therefore distilling this directly, thanks to stills that work under vacuum, thus guaranteeing the presence of all the original aromas present in the must. At the end of the production process, the spirit obtained is left to rest for a short period in wooden barrels.

The “Prime Uve Nere” is a brandy which, to the eye, presents itself with a particularly deep and bright golden colour. The olfactory spectrum that envelops the nose is composed of mainly spicy notes, in which a clear hint of vanilla emerges, alternating with more woody nuances, deriving from the aging period. In the mouth it has a good body, full, round, with a perfectly balanced sip. A particularly aromatic distillate, with which Bonaventura Maschio introduces us to the selection of "Prime Uve" products, a line launched in the 1980s which, since its inception, has enjoyed considerable success.
