Brandy Metaxa 5 STARS (70CL, 38.0% Vol.)

Metaxa is the most famous Greek brandy. Obtained by double distillation with a discontinuous alembic from three types of grapes (Savatiano, Sultanina and Corinto Nero) combined with Moscato wines from Samos and Limnos and a highly selected blend of aromatic herbs, it is then aged in oak barrels for at least five years (so reaches the qualification of 5 stars).

Amber in colour, the nose offers aromas of strawberries, cream and muscat grapes. It opens quickly with sensations of orange peel and muscat and continues with warm sensations of raisined fruit. On the palate it has a good warmth, soft with some tannins still present. Good balance between sweetness and acidity. Medium persistent finish with spicy notes brought by the maturation in wood.

Metaxa is served neat, with ice or in a mix.
