This wine from the Ca' Marcanda winery is born from the union of vines that recall the French tradition and the historical incursions suffered by the upper Maremma area. The use of vines that are 55% Merlot, 35% Syrah, and 10% Sangiovese. The different vineyards, both in Bolgheri and in the neighboring area of ​​Bibbona, are planted mainly on brown soils rich in silt and clay. Winemaking requires that the grapes, depending on the variety, undergo fermentation and maceration separately for approximately 15 days. After 12 months of aging in wood, the assembly proceeds and a few months in the bottle before marketing, after which it matures for 18 months in barrique and is characterized by easy drinking, which combines with a magnificent aromatic complexity, to create a a label that travels to levels unthinkable for most people to reach.
