Cantine San Marzano Primitivo Rose Tramari 2023

Primitivo Rose Tramari Cantine San Marzano is a rosé wine from the Puglia tradition capable of boasting the IGT certification which identifies its Protected Geographical Indication. The rosé color comes from the white vinification with a light passage on the skins of Primitivo grapes. The production area is that of the municipality of San Marzano, in Salento, deep in Puglia. The soils rise approximately 100 meters above sea level. The area is characterized by high thermal sums and medium-low rainfall. The soil is medium-textured clayey, shallow and with a good presence of stone. These characteristics allow the plant to reach a density of 4,500 vines per hectare. The harvest period is the first week of September. The vinification follows which involves the partial drawing off of the Primitivo grape must after maceration for a few hours, followed by off-white fermentation. Finally, refinement in steel barrels at a controlled temperature. The aging capacity of this wine is rather limited, in fact it manages to keep its organoleptic characteristics intact for a maximum of 2 years.
