Located in the historic center of Jerez de la Frontera, the Andalusian city located between the Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean, Sánchez Romate Hnos has been producing one of the most famous brandies in the world for over a century: Cardenal Mendoza, which derives from its name from that Cardinal Pedro Gonzáles de Mendoza (1423 – 1495) who greatly favored Christopher Columbus in his first voyage of discovery of the New World.

Cardenal Mendoza, Jerez brandy from the Solera Gran Reserva category - the top of Spanish production, is still produced in limited quantities, exactly like a century ago. Even today, each bottle is sealed by hand before being packaged.

Distributed across five continents, Cardenal Mendoza is the Official Supplier of the Royal House of Spain, the House of Lords of England and the Vatican City.
