Champagne Louis Roederer Collection 243
Created from Perpetua Reserve and oak-aged reserve wines, complemented by the best hits of the 2018 harvest, Collection 243 is linked to our Champagne roots and the foundations of our Reims-based Champagne House. We therefore give ourselves the freedom to create the blend based on what Nature offers us. This decidedly epicurean champagne is the multi-vintage champagne par excellence from Louis Roederer! The collection number represents the number of blends created since the inception of Maison Louis Roederer Champagne and allows wine lovers to select their wine based on the level of youth or maturity they desire and appreciate.

The Perpetua Reserve was created to accentuate the freshness of the wines and balance the maturation of the harvest. Starting with the 2012 vintage, enriched each year with wines from the latest harvest and stored in large-capacity stainless steel vats, this Perpetua Reserve brings new taste sensations, both tactile and gustatory. These reserve wines are the hallmark of Louis Roederer, the very essence of his style. They are aged in oak barrels and make up 10% of the Collection 243 blend. The patina of age adds a nice smoothness to the blend and some lightly toasted smoky notes.

Driven by a new ambition and desire for freedom, the Louis Roederer Champagne House enters a new phase in its history with the creation of Collection. Current events, climate change and the importance of sustainable and respectful winemaking practices that accentuate the qualities of the terroir have become central to our ethics and our work. The most beautiful works are often forged by constraint and adversity. Driven by a new energy, the Maison has decided to reinvent its blends, reshape its experience and rethink its methods to follow the new rhythm of Nature and continue to evolve, advance and adapt.
