Copperhead Gin – The Gibson Edition (50CL, 40.0% Vol.)
This special edition of Copperhead gin was born in collaboration with Marian Beke, one of the most famous bartenders in the world and owner of the Gibson Bar in London. The Gibson edition is inspired by the classic “Gibson Martini” cocktail which finds its origins in the Players Club, in New York where the artist Charles Dana challenged the Gibson barman Charles Connely to make a new variation on the Classic Martini… and so it was that he replaced the olive with a silver onion!

The new Gibson gin is a distillate of 13 carefully selected ingredients including mace, pepper, cassia, bay leaves, ginger, fennel and dill seeds.

Copperhead gin is the result of a collaboration between Yvan Trova Vogel (a pharmacist from Kortrijk, who is strongly interested in the “surgical” aspect of gin) and Bernard Fillier (owner of the Filliers distillery) who is a master in distilling alcohol from from juniper. The original Copperhead gin was launched in Belgium in 2014 and Black Batch followed a year later.

It is a complex gin where the notes of juniper are strong, but combined with the fresh ones of fennel and the slightly bitter ones of the herbs, but above all the warm ones of the spices which however also leave room for citrus fruits and angelica. A slightly sweet note then completes the tasting picture.
