GIN CITADELLE (1L, 44.0% Vol.)

Citadelle Gin is a premium gin, launched in 1989, designed on the model of a historical product. The product is strongly oriented towards the juniper fire that the two gin legends Carpeau and Stival launched in 1775 by order of the French king Louis XVI. The two settled in the citadel of Dunkirk, which the French ruler named a royal distillery with 20 years of privilege. The gin produced at the time was also the first in France to use copper stills. To revive this gin marriage, in 1989 Alexandre Gabriel decided to create Citadelle Gin. Botanicals It took the team around Citadelle several years to perfect the drink's recipe on their own. The result of this effort, however, is a gin so wonderfully authentic and tasty that you won't want to miss it again. Juniper aromas are in the foreground here and are accompanied by floral notes. The real highlight, however, are the combinations of jasmine and warm cinnamon. Its sweet and highly aromatic finish complements the drop perfectly. On the nose there are notes of violet, sweet orange, coriander and floral shine. The smell is slightly reminiscent of citrus fruits with another sour side of spicy aromas: nutmeg, pepper, cinnamon and cardamom. The Citadelle is worth buying!
