Glen Ord 9 Year Old 2011 (casks 313939, 313519 & 313524) - Small Batch (James Eadie) (70CL, 46.0%)

Fabulous Highland single malt from Glen Ord Distillery, bottled independently by James Eadie as part of his Small Batch series. Distilled in 2011, this was matured for nine years in ex-bourbon casks, before bottling in 2021. The bottle has a lovely acorn illustration on the label, inspired by The Acorn pub, which was owned by James Eadie in 1800.

Nose: Floral heather and flowers, charred wood.

Palate: Crumbly and buttery apple paste, toasted walnuts with sweet honey and dried petals and just a hint of spicy pepper.

Finish: Crisp fresh apples and pears, creamy, mouth-filling texture with lingering sweet malt and delicate oak spices.
