Ileach PEATED ISLAY MALT Islay Single Malt (70CL, 40.0% Vol.)
The Ileach – the name means “the man from Islay” – is actually a Lagavulin at its haziest. A deep whiskey for all connoisseurs who appreciate this or – as already expressed – a piece of peat melts in the glass! On the palate it develops a wonderful balance of peat, unctuousness and a light sweet and sour note. Overwhelming! In the finish, the peat turns into a pleasant bitterness with oak notes. A fabulous malt. (Jim Murray) Ileach is pronounced “ILJACH” and received the Gold Award of the IWSC International Wine & Spirit Competition. A highly recommended and economical alternative to Lagavulin.
