A variation of blended malt whiskey Kura The Whisky, which has enjoyed a period of finishing in casks that previously held rum. Whiskeys aged in rum barrels are quite unique, as they help strengthen the lip-smacking fruit notes – and that's exactly what you'll find here. Nose: toasted oak up front, before a kick of green apple and spiced mango chutney. Taste: tangy of orange and lemon, followed by a touch of menthol. Still quite smoky. Finish: burnt sugar, stewed pears and hints of cloves.
