Sazerac Straight Rye Whiskey (70CL, 45.0% Vol.)
The Sazerac was the name of a very famous mid-nineteenth century New Orleans cocktail, it was initially created with a cognac base (hence the name Sazerac which derives from Sazerac de Forge et Fils). The production of rye whiskey instead began in 1870, when Tomas H. Handy purchased the local Sazerac Coffee House in New Orleans. In those years the production of cognac was eliminated due to phylloxera and Handy began to locally produce a rye whiskey which used for the famous cocktail. Subsequently, and precisely from this idea, the company expanded and what is today one of the largest American companies in the world of alcohol was born.

The Sazerac Straigth Rye is a rye whiskey, whose cereal recipe (mashbill) is not known, however we are talking about at least 51% rye, aged for 4 to 6 years in new charred oak barrels before being bottled at 45% vol. (90 proof) to its natural color.
