Padre Azul Reposado is a super premium tequila that matures for at least 8 months in hand-selected bourbon oak barrels which give it light notes of vanilla, chocolate, caramelized nuts and cinnamon.

The most important ingredient of this tequila is time: growth time of blue agaves between 8 and 10 years, steaming time in a masonry between 24 and 48 hours, fermentation time (72-96 hours) and aging time (minimum 18 months).

This tequila is housed in a fantastic, carefully handcrafted bottle. It is closed by a 270 gram solid metal cap in the shape of a skull, which pays homage to the Dia de los Muertos. The hand-blown bottle is then covered in leather and tied to the back of the bottle, a clear homage to the Mexican wrestling masks “Lucha Libre” and more precisely to “El Santo”, Mexico's most famous luchador.

The nose reveals notes of cooked agave and fruit (such as pear, banana and orange) balanced by vanilla, caramel, coconut and white chocolate that derive from resting in the barrel. On the palate it has a taste composed of hints of fruit, vanilla and cooked agave that blend harmoniously.

Padre Azul Reposado is best enjoyed between 18 and 20°C. It pairs exceptionally well with a good cigar or dark chocolate.
