Caroni's batch #5 shows on the label what remains of the Trinidad distillery: an abandoned warehouse. This Single Cask by Caroni, selected exclusively by Beija-Flor for the Italian market, has matured
23 years old, bottled at full strength of 63.1%, not cold filtered and not artificially coloured. This is a limited edition of 131 pieces.
TASTING NOTES:
Aroma: Medicinal smoke, oil, tar, then honey, blueberry jam, honey and butter cream. Cocoa, coconut, a little ration and wood spices.
Palate: Intense tannin, then molasses, vanilla, ripe tropical fruit and dried apricots. Licorice, chocolate and orange jam.
Finish: Toasted oak, then here's eucalyptus and salted caramel. Infinite.
Straordinario rapporto qualità/prezzo per un vino fresco, fermo con profumi prevalentemente fruttati. Al palato risulta morbido, fresco abbastanza armonico. Consigliato per accompagnare nelle calde serate estive, piatti a base di verdure di stagione e piatti di pesce. Può anche essere utilizzato come aperitivo servito molto freddo.
