Champagne Eric Taillet Champagne Bansionensi

Meunier is a noble grape, very territorial, capable of giving life to great gourmand champagnes in a context of finesse and freshness.

Bansionensi. This singular name is none other than the ancient Latin name of the village of Baslieux, from whose grapes this champagne is born. Notably, these are two old plots planted in 1961 and 1962 by Eric's parents: one ('La Brusse') faces entirely north and has deep clay soil, the other ('Le Pierreuses') is instead it faces south-east and the soil is made of a thin layer of clay before the pebbly 'silex'. The fermentation of the musts, however, takes place entirely in steel without carrying out malolactic fermentation, so the wines are always assembled on the basis of two vintages, one of tension and one of fruit. Subsequently, the draft takes place 'bouchon liège' with high permeability technological caps, but then the 'bouchon d'expédition' is traditional.

100% Meunier

The freshness of this champagne is striking, its vitality, to the point of almost dissimulating its fruity richness. It is certainly a dark nose, but not because it is dark, but rather because it clearly recalls its blanc de noirs nature, although atypical, that is, with an elegant and well-defined personality, undoubtedly attractive. The fruit is perfectly ripe, dense but not saturating, it is linked to apricot, but does not disdain tropical references, with slight hints of spices and aromatic herbs.
