Old Curiosity Geranium & Mallow Gin (50cl, 46% Vol.)

The backbone of this gin is juniper and coriander where the seeds and berries are lightly crushed, Angelica root and even the more subtle flavors of Angelica leef are used in combination with Winter Savory, a plant not dissimilar to rosemary but with more subtle notes. These four botanicals offer a smooth, elegant and light gin base, it is to this that we then add freshly distilled Geraniums - this is such a richly flavored plant, with hints of warm tropical air, fresh green tea and floral tones reminiscent of roses and jasmine blended - these distilled flowers are then added to the gin where all these characteristics are enriched and enhanced to produce a rich, heady yet wonderfully balanced gin with a smooth texture and flavour. Then the hand-picked and dried Mallow flowers are infused, these flowers can only be picked when the sun is out and then opening the flowers completely (which in Scotland is not as many days as we would like!) to give an almost clear spirit which then it becomes the most elegant pink when toner is added. This is a gin that allows the senses to be fully stimulated and the palette to be in awe of the beauty, elegance, power and grace of nature's flavor - truly a drink to be savoured.
